Editors' Message
As students return to campus, events begin to return to being in-person, yPolitika also prepares for the new academic year. It continues to be vital that young academics are offered a chance to express themselves and flex their academic muscles, something yPolitika is uniquely able to provide for uOttawa students. Students and young people are often ignored in discussions of politics and policy, opinions and ideas are dismissed due to age, yPolitika offers the opposite, a chance for young people to express themselves and establish themselves without fear of dismissal due to age.
YPolitika is run by students for students, we are a small team committed to providing the best experience we can throughout the editing process. As coeditors – in – chief we are incredibly thankful for this opportunity and hope that we can effectively use it to highlight a diverse, youthful, selection of thoughts and academic writing. Throughout our term, we will strive to uphold inclusivity, bilingualism, and curiosity.
We would also like to thank everyone who has supported yPolitika in the past by sharing us with your friends or on social media, submitting articles, or reading them. We encourage you to continue to support us in any way you can so that yPolitika can continue to grow and establish itself as a reputable youth-oriented publication for years to come.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to hearing, discussing, editing, and working with you.
